Profile

Ian Taffy Jones' allround abilities make him Fairburn's vital impact player. Opening the batting, Jones can obliterate attacks with his destructive, cultural, mainly AGRI-cultural strokeplay. In 2007, he scored over 300 runs against Tong CC in two innings, and once again ranked highly in the LWRCL batting averages. Taffy (on his day) can be a more than useless seamer, mixing his pace with an aggressive line and length. Sometimes, however his aggressive length can be misinterpreted as 20 foot high beamers, but Taffy says the excessive lacquer on the ball was the main cause that day. Lets hope the extra choice of ball in the PDCL will ensure Jones can once again be in the wickets.
