Darren Weaver

Daz Weaver was a very late starter to the world of Cricket, but my word hasn't he learned quick? Considered the second XI's premier all-rounder, Daz is famed for keeping batting very simple. If its short, smash it; if its full, smash it...if its on a good length, smash it! This simple ethos has paid off for Daz, best personified by his brutal century in 2006. His ventures into the first team have also been productive with many awe-inspiring, late-inning cameos which brutally neglect the reputation of some of the leagues best bowling talents. Equally productive with the ball, Daz has a machine like action which aids an excellent line and can lead to marathon spells on a baking Saturday afternoon (Daz was the second XI's top wicket taker in 2007). Coupled with an enthusiastic effort in the field, Daz is in serious danger of becoming a more regular addition to the first XI, though that would not go down well with Chris Dillerstone. His wife Karen is a huge asset to the club due to her efforts in providing excellent teas, together with washing and ironing the kit of all three Weavers.
