Chris Dillerstone

Chris joined the club several years ago after being released from a secure unit where he unsuccessfully trialled drugs to stunt growth. At 6ft 7, he is an imposing opening batsmen, who also bowls the odd tweaker??? Must be a perk of captaincy! When Chris joined the club, he played predominantly in the second team, but did make some first team appearances, off the back of some early successes. However, now the 2nd team skipper, he has forged a good team with great spirit. Most noteably in 2007, where he captained the 2nd team to the Festival Trophy and what would have been promotion from Division 3 of the Leeds West Riding Cricket League. A lot of credit must be given to Chris for his efforts in bringing some of the younger members of the club on, he is never afraid to give them a chance, regardless of the situation and the club benefits from this. He and his wife Di also do fantastic teas! You will normally see Chris stood at slip taking catches with those buckets of his, or storing away 20 pints in his hollow legs at Catterick races.
