Hello Everyone,

Well 7 games gone and 7 games won for the first XI. A fantastic achievement so far. Certainly no time for complacency though. As the top team in the Division you are there to be shot down and we need to be on our game.

We have improved alot since last year and now appreciate what it takes to win games in this division. We have won games when last year we would have been rolled over.

We have put some really good team performances in and everyone is contributing. Hell even I am chipping in with some runs. The batting looks vey strong and we are posting 200 every week something which is a must in Division 2. Karl and Nathan have settled in well and Badger is giving us that bit extra coming in at 7 and giving the ball a biff.

Taffy is leading wicket taker with 15 wickets and hopefully he can at least double this tally. Senior Pro Clark is tormenting people from one end and all the other bowlers are pulling there weight. Keep it up lads.

We are currently 18 points clear. This equates to about 3 defeats as we should pick up bonus points even if beaten.

I don't for one minute expect us to remain unbeaten all season or anything like that but let's keep the run going for as long as possible.

We are in the quarter final of the Farmery Florist Cup and play Askern awway in this round. This won't be an easy game as Askern is not the easiest of places to play cricket. A victory in this round would see us play either Ackworth 2, Brodsworth or our friends Nostell, who we have had some banter with this year.

My new bigger lunchbox is on order by the way...... I have gone for Thomas the Tank Engine.

Keep the efforts up on and off the field and lets see if we can't get some silverware down to the FCG.
