Week 20- Championes Championes Ole Ole Ole!!!

Fairburn 1st XI are champions of Div 3 East after beating Yorkshire Main by 19 runs. Good knocks by James Clegg and Craig Piggott got Fairburn to 178-9 then some tight bowling and fielding restricted Yorkshire Main to 157-9 from 46 overs. The second team slipped further behind after a defeat at Thurnscoe.

Update: Latest news from Lee Doughty charity

Operation Hoodie continues to make massive strides in the cricket fraternity. The charity is the official charitable partner of YCCC, and is currently tendering with the England Cricket Board for a similar position. OH recently held a photoshoot with the Eng Women's Team who have bought 65 hoodies, whilst South African Andre Nel has joined the growing list of internationals to purchase an Operation Hoodie

Fairburn to hold Celebratory BBQ

Fairburn CC will hold a BBQ after the final home game of the season (Saturday 13th Sept) to celebrate the achievements of the 1st and 2nd XI.

The club will announce the beer and food arrangements at a later date.
