The "Ice Man", Booker is the only player ever to be seen wearing 3 cricket jumpers in a hot and sunny August. Booker is Fairburn's specialist short leg, and he has the bumps, bruises and broken bones to prove it. He has been short of runs in the last couple of seasons, but we still see that huge back swing and the ball flying to all parts wih his 3lb bat, despite looking like a strong wind would blow him away. Booker's efforts on the field are equally matched by his efforts off it, the club are indebted to him for the work that he does off the field, as secretary. He spends many an hour on his typewriter, doing the business for Fairburn. A joker of the pack, Booker can be remembered for emerging from behind a tree on the boundary and taking a catch, in a charity game, he was probably having a sly nicotine fix, or oxygen as he likes to call it.
