Fairburn 1st XI maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a 10 point win over Normaton on Saturday. A sparkling hundred from the Skipper set up the win which almost went down to the wire. Victory again for the firsts on Sunday beating Conisbrough in the cup. The 2nd XI unfortunately failed to win in their two games of the weekend. However, a swashbuckling 104 from Ian Raynor is a higlight of the week.
Bobby Banerjee made an impressive start to his time at Fairburn, the legspinner bowled beautifully on Saturday and with plenty of variety. He is a great addition to the title chasing side, and long may it continue. He took 4-55, but provided the break through after the Normanton openers got off to a fast start.
